Delta T4 Terminal @JFK

Touch Table

Designed in collaboration with Perch Interactive, the touch table for Delta’s T4 terminal combined a physical model with projection-based interaction. Users explored the new terminal through interactive hotspots, animations, and media—creating an engaging preview that resonated with executives and offered customers a unique way to navigate the space. Originally unveiled as part of an MKG-designed launch event, the installation was later relocated to the T4 terminal, where visitors could experience it firsthand.

Overlaying projection-based interactions on a physical model allowed us to merge tactile and digital storytelling.

The challenge

Designing the experience required integrating multiple media types—video, animation, and still imagery—onto a single physical model. Ensuring smooth interaction, intuitive navigation, and cohesive storytelling across projection-based touchpoints was a complex design and technical challenge, with Delta’s brand expressed consistently across the experience.

Our impact

The touch table impressed Delta executives and generated early excitement around the terminal. Its integration into the space later gave customers a hands-on, immersive way to explore the environment, while highlighting new features and amenities and enhancing engagement and wayfinding.
